Energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important for both the competitiveness and sustainability of European industries. This workshop will explore low-power design techniques across the Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) value chain, from ultra-low-power edge systems to high-performance compute nodes.

Discussions will address low-power mechanisms and approaches enabling efficient power-performance-area trade-offs across the full technology stack, while identifying key industrial needs, technology gaps and priorities for future R&D&I.

The workshop will bring together stakeholders from across the ECS community to contribute to the preparation of potential Chips JU Call 2027 topics. Participants will be invited to provide feedback on draft topic concepts prepared with experts in the field, discuss their relevance and ambition, and share additional ideas and priorities.

The input gathered during the consultation will help inform the development of the Chips JU Work Programme 2027 and its future Call topics.
