As preparations for the Chips JU Work Programme 2027 move forward, Chips JU is inviting the Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) community to take part in an online consultation workshop dedicated to “Chips for AI, AI for Chips.”

The workshop offers stakeholders from across the ECS community an opportunity to contribute directly to discussions around potential 2027 Call topics, bringing forward industrial needs, technology priorities and emerging opportunities. The input gathered during the workshop will help inform and refine the Chips JU Work Programme 2027 and its future Call topics.
To kick-start the discussion, a series of draft topic concepts has been prepared with contributions from experts in the field. Participants will be invited to comment on their relevance and level of ambition, propose new ideas, and identify key gaps and opportunities for Europe.
Three key areas on the agenda
The workshop will be structured around three thematic sessions:
- Session 1 – Foundations for Autonomous Systems Made in Europe | 09:00–11:00 (TBC)
- Session 2 – AI for Chip Design | 11:15–13:00 (TBC)
- Session 3 – System-Level Memory Architectures for AI | 14:00–15:45 (TBC)
