AENEAS is delighted to announce that applications are now officially open for the 4th edition of the ECS Summer School, taking place from 23 to 28 August 2026 in the inspiring setting of Bertinoro, Italy, near Bologna.
Building on the strong momentum of previous editions, the ECS Summer School 2026 will once again bring together 40 carefully selected undergraduate students from across Europe for an intensive and immersive week dedicated to the semiconductor and microelectronics ecosystem.
A Unique Gateway to Europe’s ECS Landscape
The ECS Summer School offers much more than a traditional academic programme. Participants will benefit from:

Throughout the week, students gain a comprehensive overview of Europe’s Electronics Components and Systems (ECS) ecosystem and a deeper understanding of how innovation, collaboration and industrial leadership shape the future of microelectronics in Europe.
Eligibility Criteria
The ECS Summer School is open to undergraduate students who, by the time of the event:

Have completed at least two years of university studies

Have at least one year remaining before completing their undergraduate degree

Are enrolled in a STEM discipline

Study at a university located in the EU or an associated country

Have a good command of English, as all sessions will be held in English

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a motivation letter, one to three optional recommendation letters and academic transcripts. The selection process will ensure gender and geographical balance, as well as diversity in academic backgrounds. Selected students will be informed of the results on 5 May 2026.
