SNS JU Released its R&I Work Programme 2026

The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) has officially released its Bi-Annual Work Programme 2026–2027, including the Research & Innovation (R&I) Work Programme 2026.

This new programme outlines the strategic priorities for 6G research and innovation in Europe and foresees €22 million in EU funding to support five R&I projects in 2026. The calls aim to advance key technologies, architectures and systems that will underpin future smart networks and services, reinforcing Europe’s technological sovereignty and global competitiveness in next-generation connectivity.

The Work Programme provides detailed information on objectives, topics, timelines and participation conditions for stakeholders across industry, research organisations and academia.

Strengthening synergies for future connectivity

This announcement reflects the continued efforts of AENEAS and the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) to strengthen synergies between the Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) and telecommunications communities.
