ICOS Project Final Event

The ICOS (International Cooperation on Semiconductors) Final Event will take place on 3 February 2026 at THE FACULTY in Brussels as a back-to-back event for the ECS Brokerage 2026.
As a partner of the ICOS project, AENEAS is pleased to support this final event, which will present the key outcomes of three years of research, analysis and international expert collaboration across strategic semiconductor regions.

The workshop will highlight the main results of the ICOS project, including:

  • An in-depth assessment of strengths and weaknesses across semiconductor value chains in the EU and leading semiconductor countries, addressing strategic dependencies, market dynamics and cooperation opportunities;

  • The identification of promising emerging technologies for future applications;

  • Priority research topics for international cooperation, based on critical needs in advanced computation and advanced functionalities, including smart sensors, smart energy, energy harvesting for autonomous systems and semiconductor-based photonics;

  • An overview of technological ecosystems and strengths in partner countries, supporting future international collaboration;

  • An analysis of the impact for the European Union.

This event offers valuable insights for stakeholders engaged in semiconductor research, innovation, industrial strategy and international cooperation.
