Join a consultation workshop on the upcoming call for proposals for Design Enablement Teams (DETs), organised by the Chips JU Team on 11 April 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 (CET).
The Design Platform is at the heart of the Chips for Europe Initiative, it is envisaged as a key instrument to foster the development of a strong design ecosystem in the Union, by creating a pipeline of highly innovative European fabless companies, focusing particularly on the growth of start-ups and SMEs. The Design Platform is implemented via two main entities:
- Platform Coordination Team (PCT) – coordinates the Design Platform, establishes framework agreements with EDA/IP suppliers and provides access to a central cloud service encompassing a marketplace with IPs, EDA tools, PDKs and trainings amongst other resources.
- Design Enablement Teams (DETs) each of which oversees the management of a distributed cloud instance, dedicated application engineering support to users from setting up their design environment and design flows up to chip tape-outs.
The aim of this workshop is to collect community’s feedback on Chips JU’s plan to launch a call for DETs to support the Design Platform in 2025.
