he European Research & Innovation (R&I) Days 2025 will take place on 16–17 September 2025 at The Square in Brussels. Organised by the European Commission, this sixth edition will gather policymakers, researchers, industry leaders and innovation stakeholders to explore the role of research and innovation in supporting Europe’s competitiveness, sustainability and industrial leadership.
This year’s theme, “Together, towards a Research and Innovation Union”, coincides with key discussions on the EU’s next long-term budget and major policy initiatives, including the Startup and Scaleup Strategy, the European Life Sciences Strategy, the AI in Science Strategy, and developments in the European Innovation and Research Areas.
The event will feature high-level sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities, both in-person and online.
