The third edition of the ECS Summer School “Fascinating Electronics for a Cool World” will take place at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, from August 24–29, 2025! Organized by AENEAS, EPoSS, INSIDE, and the European Chips Skills Academy (ECSA), this event will bring together 40 selected students from across Europe to explore the latest advancements in microelectronics and semiconductor technologies.
Designed for students in STEM fields, the program covers key areas of the Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) sector, including:
- Sensor interfaces
- Power devices
- Radio-frequency technologies
- Digital applications
Beyond technical sessions, the Summer School provides an opportunity for cross-cultural exchange, connecting students with experts from academia and industry to gain insights into future career paths and research directions.
As part of the broader effort to address Europe’s semiconductor skills gap, the Summer School contributes to the initiatives led by the European Chips Skills Academy (ECSA). Launched in October 2023, ECSA is dedicated to strengthening Europe’s semiconductor workforce by supporting skills development, upskilling professionals, and attracting new talent to the field.
This initiative reflects the commitment of AENEAS, EPoSS, INSIDE, and ECSA to fostering the next generation of talent in Europe’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, ensuring the sector remains at the forefront of innovation and technological progress.
