The semiconductor landscape is evolving rapidly, bringing both challenges and opportunities for Europe and beyond. The European project ICOS (International Cooperation On Semiconductors) is dedicated to identifying key areas where international collaboration can strengthen Europe’s position in this dynamic ecosystem. By working with key global partners, ICOS seeks to address common challenges and enhance Europe’s role in the semiconductor value chain, in alignment with the European Chips Act.
As part of this initiative, ICOS partners are launching a survey to gather expert insights that will support the European Commission’s strategy. The goal is to pinpoint where research cooperation with leading semiconductor nations can drive growth and innovation in the European industry.
Survey objectives:
- Understand how the global semiconductor landscape is evolving between 2023 and 2025.
- Identify the most pressing challenges that require international collaboration.
- Prioritize key technologies that should be strengthened or developed in the EU.
Who should participate?
We invite professionals from across the semiconductor ecosystem, including:
- Industry representatives (suppliers and users of semiconductor solutions)
- Researchers and academics
- Members of clusters, alliances, and international platforms
- Independent experts and consultants
All survey responses will be processed confidentially by the ICOS consortium.
