Paris, 2 January 2025 – AENEAS, the Industry Association for European nano- and microelectronics-based components, systems, and applications, today announces the appointment of Jochen Hanebeck, Chief Executive Officer of Infineon Technologies AG, as its new President. He succeeds Kurt Sievers, President and CEO of NXP Semiconductors, who has held the post since 2022.
“With the implementation of the European Chips Act and the Chips Joint Undertaking, the preparation of the new EU Framework for Research and Innovation, and the focus on skills development and international collaboration, the importance of microelectronics and ECS continues to grow. As AENEAS President, I am committed to ensuring that the association continues its path of success, supporting our industry and representing its best interests,” said Jochen Hanebeck, sharing his vision for AENEAS.
Jochen Hanebeck has been a member of the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AG since 2016 and has been a CEO since 2022. He brings decades of experience in the microelectronics industry, where he has consistently driven innovation and collaboration across Europe and beyond.
