The EU – Japan Workshop on Semiconductors, organised by the European Commission, will take place on January 25th 2024, in Tokyo, Japan, with the possibility of remote participation from Europe. This Workshop is organised under the EU – Japan Digital Partnership, which aims to promote cooperation on research in semiconductors and skills, amongst other activities.
In this Workshop, participants will have the possibility to discuss with European and Japanese experts research on a selected list of topics, notably sustainable manufacturing, including alternatives for PFAS, advanced packaging and heterogenous integration, leading-edge as well as needs and ideas on how to jointly address the talent and skilled workforce challenge. If you are interested in cooperation with Japanese companies and research institutes on these topics, this could be a great opportunity to enter into a dialogue with Japanese research and policy stakeholders.
Participation in the EU – Japan workshop will be free of charge. Travel expenses will be expected to be covered by the participants. The participants from the EU, who will not be able to travel to Tokyo, can join remotely from their countries via Webex.
