KDT JU Info Session on Work Programme 2023 & pitch opportunities

The KDT JU and DG CNECT are kindly invited you to the KDT JU public Information session on Work Programme 2023. The subject of this info session will be the focus topic on software-defined vehicle platform.

The event will take place online on the 7 March 2023, from 9:30 to 11:30.

More about the session

The major transformations of the automotive industry, in particular towards software-defined vehicles (SDV), are challenging the competitiveness and sovereignty of the EU automotive industry. The European Commission is promoting a pre-competitive collaboration among European actors on the non-differentiating elements of the vehicle software stack between electronic hardware and applications. An open common platform would reduce costs and complexity of software development and ensure a level playing field for automotive hardware and data-driven cloud-edge applications.

This public, online information session will allow participants to learn about:

  • The current state of play of discussions on an initiative for an open European SDV platform, based on a Concept Paper to be published in February 2023.
  • The related open calls under the Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking (KDT JU) supporting the initiative, i.e. a research and innovation action focusing on the hardware abstraction layer for a European SDV platform[1], and a coordination and support action to support the platform[2].

The session will include a Q&A session. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas on the call and look for potential partners. Pitches for possible proposals should be 5 min. long maximum. Presentations of companies/organisations interested in joining a consortium should be 1 min. long.
