The Health. E Lighthouse Symposium, organised by the HELoS project team and Health.E lighthouse liaise, took place on 8-9 March 2022 both in Eindhoven, the Netherlands and online.
During the two days of this Symposium 12 speakers presented insights of medical devices development and innovations.
The participants were able to learn about:
-
The view of large compagnies, SMEs, RTOs and the commission on the implementation of innovation for medical devices;
-
How projects that are connected to the Health.E lighthouse implement OTPs for emerging medical domains;
-
OTPs for medical devices that are available right now.
The ECSEL JU “Health.E” Lighthouse Initiative concentrated on developing “open technology platforms” (a set of common technologies and processes required to make a broad range of electronic medical instruments) as a means to accelerate the development of cutting-edge medical devices at much reduced cost. This brings the high rate of technological advances in micro- and nano-electronics to bear on the important issues of healthcare more quickly, without compromise on the rigorous clinical certification requirements.
