AENEAS is committed to helping the creation of trans-national consortia with the intent of strengthening Europe’s position along the Electronics Value Chain. This requires the combination of innovation and ideas from academia and the SME sector allied, where appropriate, with larger companies.

To support this key mission, AENEAS is pleased to announce the launch of ACT, an online collaboration tool allowing open consortium building, regardless of funding instrument. This will allow the technology community to set up project teams, invite project partners, exchange messages with potential partners and showcase capability through a messaging system. ICT organisations across Europe will be able to use this “free-to-access” tool with the intent of bringing together project teams 365 days a year. These teams can then decide what, if any, funding instrument might best suit their requirements to catalyse their project and bring it to a successful conclusion.

Use of the tool is open to all potential participants in European projects that are focussed on innovation in the Digital Economy. Areas of potential cooperation are laid out in the AENEAS Strategic Agenda, which is designed to provide essential roadmaps for Europe to address important societal challenges, to compete worldwide with innovative products and services, and to strengthen the competitiveness of European industry along the electronics value chain.

Additionally, AENEAS sponsors collaboration building events – where prospective teams can come together and build a project, find new project partners, exchange ideas and review possible funding support options that will help them realise their ambition.

The first event of this sort, the AENEAS CBD, will be held in Rome on 22-23 November 2016.

ACT requires registration and the completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to take full advantage of its capabilities.
